AKTIVBAND SK
Eurovent® AKTIVBAND SK window tape used for insulating window and door mounting holes from the inside. Suitable for so called “Warm Installation”. Made of special nonwoven fabric and vapour-barrier film, coated with an adhesive layer on one side which facilitates its application to a window frame and a wall. Available with an additional 20 mm adhesive strip on order – AKTIVABAND SK2.

Application and Technical Data
Eurovent® AKTIVBAND SK window tape allows the installation of windows and doors in a way that ensures their tightness for many years. Intended for the insulation of connections inside the building. The entire width of the tape is coated with an adhesive layer, which facilitates its application to the window frame and the wall.

To ensure maximum performance of AKTIVBAND SK, it is recommended to use it as part of a complete roofing system together with:

On which side of the window is AKTIVBAND SK used?
On the inside. The tape provides a vapour-resistant and airtight seal between the window or door frame and the wall.
Why should the internal layer resist water vapour?
Its purpose is to limit the passage of moist indoor air into the insulation layer around the frame.
Is AKTIVBAND SK intended for energy-efficient window installation?
Yes. It forms part of a layered window and door installation system in which the joint is protected from both inside and outside.
Can the tape be plastered over afterwards?
Yes. Its construction is designed for subsequent finishing work, including plastering and painting.
How should the masonry be prepared before installation?
The surface should be sound, dry, clean and free from dust and greasy contamination.
