DIFFUBAND SK
Eurovent® DIFFUBAND SK window tape used for insulating window and door mounting holes from the outside. Suitable for so called “Warm Installation”. Made of special nonwoven fabric and vapour-permeable film, coated with an adhesive layer on one side which facilitates its application to a window frame and a wall. Available with an additional 20 mm adhesive strip on order–SYSTEM SK2.

Application and Technical Data
Eurovent® DIFFUBAND SK window tape allows the installation of windows and doors in a way that ensures their tightness for many years. Intended for the insulation of connections inside the building. The entire width of the tape is coated with an adhesive layer, which facilitates its application to the window frame and the wall.

To ensure maximum performance of DIFFUBAND SK, it is recommended to use it as part of a complete system together with:
- Eurovent® roof membranes (roof underlays / underdeck membranes), which provide an ideal substrate for durable and airtight bonding of overlaps using DIFFUBAND SK,
- Eurovent® vapour control membranes (vapour barriers), where DIFFUBAND SK enables reliable sealing of joints while maintaining full continuity of the vapour control layer,
- Eurovent® sealing and adhesive tapes, complementing the function of DIFFUBAND SK in areas requiring additional reinforcement and enhanced airtightness,
- Eurovent® installation accessories, ensuring durability and structural stability of all detailing zones, flashings and connections within the roofing system.

Why is DIFFUBAND SK installed on the outside?
It is vapour-permeable, so it protects the window joint from external conditions while allowing moisture to escape from the installation layer.
Is DIFFUBAND SK part of energy-efficient installation?
Yes. It forms the outer protective layer in a systematic, layered installation of windows, doors and blinds.
What does the tape protect against apart from moisture?
It also reduces air movement through the joint and helps maintain the thermal and acoustic properties of the area around the frame.
Is adhesive applied across the tape’s full width?
Yes. This makes it easier to bond the tape accurately to a properly prepared substrate.
What should it be paired with on the room side?
An internal vapour-resistant tape, such as AKTIVBAND SK or SK2.
