AKTIVBAND SK2
Eurovent® AKTIVBAND SK2 is a vapour control window tape designed for the internal sealing of installation joints around windows, blinds and doors as part of the so-called “Warm Installation” system. It is made of a special PP nonwoven fabric combined with a vapour control film and coated on one side across its full width with a high-tack adhesive layer, ensuring easy application to the window frame or wall. The tape is integrated with an additional 20 mm adhesive strip on the opposite side to facilitate fixing to the window frame.

Eurovent® AKTIVBAND SK2 window tape is intended for use in modern, passive, timber-frame and prefabricated construction, as well as the renovation of existing buildings. It enables the installation of windows and doors with long-lasting airtight performance. Designed for sealing internal installation joints. Dedicated to the “Warm Installation” of windows and doors. The full-surface high-tack adhesive together with the additional self-adhesive strip ensures quick and easy installation. No additional монтажage adhesive or substrate primer is required.

To ensure the maximum performance of AKTIVBAND SK2, it is recommended to use it together with:

What is the benefit of the additional adhesive strip on AKTIVBAND SK2?
In addition to adhesive on the main surface, the tape has an extra strip on the opposite side. This makes it easier to connect quickly to both the frame and the masonry.
Does SK2 require additional installation adhesive?
On a properly prepared substrate, the integrated adhesive layers allow installation without extra adhesive.
Is AKTIVBAND SK2 vapour-resistant?
Yes. It is used on the inside of the window joint to limit water vapour migration into the insulation layer.
Is it suitable for energy-efficient construction?
Yes. Airtight joints around windows and doors reduce uncontrolled airflow and heat loss.
How does it differ from DIFFUBAND SK2?
AKTIVBAND SK2 is an internal, vapour-resistant tape, whereas DIFFUBAND SK2 is used outside and is vapour-permeable.
