MATT
The multifunctional Eurovent® MATT, a single-layer braid from polypropylene fibres forming an 8 mm high layer. It is recommended for sloping roofs under metal coverings made for standing seam, and in facades as a drainage for metal cladding. It is suitable for use in frame houses.

Application and Technical Data
The Eurovent® MATT multifunctional mat is used in the construction of pitched roofs – ventilated, insulated, uninsulated and fully boarded – as a separation and drainage layer under metal roof coverings finished with standing seam. It is also suitable for use in ventilated and non-ventilated metal façades as a drainage and ventilation layer. Thanks to the use of a polypropylene mesh as a separation layer in the manufacturing process, a space is created that ensures air circulation and enables the drainage of water and moisture from beneath the metal roof or façade covering. For roof applications, MATT must be installed on full boarding in combination with a highly vapour-permeable roof membrane. The mat alone does not replace a roofing underlay.

In order to achieve maximum durability and full functionality, the Eurovent® MATT separation mat should be used in combination with:
- Eurovent® highly vapour-permeable membranes
- Eurovent® sealing and adhesive tapes
- Compatible ventilation accessories (ridge tapes, ventilation chimneys)
- Eurovent® system vapour control membranes and wind barrier membranes
The use of complete Eurovent® system solutions increases the durability and energy efficiency of the entire roof.

What is Eurovent® MATT used for?
It is an approximately 8 mm PP separation and drainage mat, mainly intended for metal roofing, especially standing seam systems.
How does the separation layer work?
It creates a space between the substrate and the metal covering, allowing airflow and drainage of moisture and condensate.
Is MATT suitable for insulated and uninsulated roofs?
Yes. It can be used on ventilated pitched roofs in both insulated and uninsulated constructions.
Does MATT replace a roof membrane?
No. MATT is a separation and drainage mat. On a roof it must be used together with a highly vapour-permeable roof membrane; the mat alone is not a roofing underlay.
Can MATT be used on façades?
Yes. It can also form a separation and drainage layer beneath metal façade cladding.
