CLIMA X20
Eurovent® CLIMA X20 is a three-layer reinforced vapour control membrane with an increased Sd value and very high mechanical strength thanks to its PE reinforcing mesh. It consists of a polypropylene nonwoven layer, a special functional film and a PE reinforcing mesh. The functional film enables controlled migration of small amounts of water vapour from inside the building towards the structure and, when required by the conditions, also in the opposite direction, giving the membrane active vapour control properties.
The membrane is available on request with two self-adhesive strips – SYSTEM SK2.

Application and Technical Data
Eurovent® CLIMA X20 is used as a vapour control layer protecting the thermal insulation of roofs and walls against excessive moisture migration from inside the building. Its active properties support appropriate moisture conditions within the structure and reduce the risk of condensation, mould and fungal growth as well as moisture accumulation in structural elements.
Eurovent® CLIMA X20 is recommended for both residential and industrial construction. It is suitable for a wide range of construction technologies, including prefabricated, modular, timber-frame and traditional construction. It can also be used in CLT (Cross-Laminated Timber) structures and passive buildings. Thanks to its high mechanical strength, Eurovent® CLIMA X20 is particularly suitable for structures with blown-in thermal insulation, such as cellulose insulation.
During installation of Eurovent® CLIMA X20, Eurovent® UNISAN and Eurovent® DUO tapes are recommended for airtight sealing of membrane overlaps, while Eurovent® UNO tape is recommended for sealing connections with structural elements.

For proper and airtight performance of the Eurovent® CLIMA X20 vapour control membrane, it is recommended to use it together with:
- Eurovent® UNISAN and Eurovent® DUO for durable and airtight sealing of membrane overlaps,
- Eurovent® UNO for sealing connections between the membrane and structural elements,
- highly vapour-permeable Eurovent® roof membranes, supporting moisture evacuation from the roof structure to the outside,
- Eurovent® windproof membranes, providing an external protective layer in wall structures and supporting moisture evacuation from the wall build-up.
Using compatible Eurovent® system solutions helps create an airtight and durable layer system and supports proper water vapour control and moisture evacuation from the structure.

Why is CLIMA X20 reinforced?
The PE mesh increases the membrane’s mechanical resistance, helping reduce the risk of tearing during installation and subsequent work.
How does it differ from CLIMA X?
CLIMA X20 has a higher nominal level of vapour resistance while retaining a reinforced structure. Selection between the two should follow the assembly design.
Is CLIMA X20 suitable for blown cellulose insulation?
Its increased mechanical strength can be useful in such constructions. However, the complete build-up must suit the insulation installation method.
Can it be used in CLT and timber-frame construction?
Yes. The product is intended for these construction methods where its parameters match the wall or roof design.
Does SYSTEM SK2 replace additional sealing of details?
No. The strips facilitate airtight overlaps, but service penetrations, edges and connections to the structure still require suitable sealing.
