WALL PROTECT
Eurovent® WALL PROTECT is a single-layer, highly vapour-permeable wind barrier membrane made of UV-resistant polypropylene nonwoven. It provides high water vapour permeability and effective protection against wind penetration. It protects façade assemblies against wind, rain and moisture.
Also available to order with two self-adhesive strips – SYSTEM SK2.

Application and Technical Data
Eurovent® WALL PROTECT is designed for timber-frame construction as a protective layer for framed wall structures, as well as for log houses, residential buildings and industrial halls. The product does not require a ventilation gap between the membrane and thermal insulation made of mineral or glass wool, which means it can be installed directly on the insulation.
The product must not be used as a roof membrane in insulated pitched roofs. Suitable Eurovent® roof membranes should be used for such applications.

In order to ensure maximum performance of WALL PROTECT, it should be used in combination with:
- Eurovent® sealing and adhesive tapes, which ensure tight bonding of overlaps and durable sealing of details in wall assemblies,
- Eurovent® vapour control membranes, which stabilise moisture conditions within the wall and cooperate with the WALL PROTECT wind barrier membrane,
- Eurovent® mounting accessories, enabling correct and load-resistant installation of the membrane on the wall structure,
- wall substructure components, which support maintaining continuity of the wind barrier layer and enable proper ventilation of the assembly.
The use of complete Eurovent® system solutions guarantees high wind-tightness, protection of the structure against wind penetration and moisture, and long-term durability of the entire wall assembly.

What distinguishes WALL PROTECT?
It is a single-layer polypropylene wind barrier membrane rather than a conventional multi-layer membrane.
Where can WALL PROTECT be used?
In timber-frame buildings, log houses, residential buildings and industrial structures as an external wind barrier.
Is a gap required between WALL PROTECT and mineral wool?
No. It can be installed directly against mineral or glass wool.
Does UV resistance mean it can remain uncovered for many months?
No. UV resistance and permitted construction exposure are different parameters. The cladding must be installed within the specified exposure period.
Can WALL PROTECT be used on an insulated pitched roof?
No. A dedicated roof membrane should be used for that application.
