FLEX EPDM
The Eurovent® FLEX EPDM, self-adhesive chimney flashing tape for use in sealing and finishing works around chimneys, bay windows and roof windows. It is made of a high-quality, flat EPDM layer reinforced with aluminium mesh and butyl glue covered with silicone paper.

Application and Technical Data
The Eurovent® FLEX EPDM chimney flashing tape is used for all types of sealing and connections within the roof area, in particular for chimney flashings, dormers and roof windows. It is also suitable for making connections between roof and wall surfaces. The tape can be used on almost all types of roof coverings, including ceramic and concrete tiles, metal roofing tiles, trapezoidal sheets, profiled aluminium sheets, etc.

In order to achieve maximum tightness and durability of the chimney flashing, Eurovent® FLEX EPDM should be used in combination with:
- Eurovent® system sealing accessories, such as FLEX CORNER and FLEX LINE, which facilitate precise and durable finishing of connections,
- Eurovent® highly vapour-permeable roof membranes, protecting the roof structure against moisture,
- Eurovent® sealing and adhesive tapes, ensuring full tightness of the chimney area,
- Eurovent® roof access elements, enabling safe access to the chimney and the flashing area.

Where can Eurovent® FLEX EPDM be used?
FLEX EPDM is designed for sealing around chimneys, dormers and roof windows, as well as roof-to-wall junctions. It is suitable for most common roof coverings.
What is the benefit of EPDM in chimney flashing?
EPDM is flexible and resistant to water, frost and UV radiation. This makes the tape easy to shape and suitable for long-term external roof applications.
How does FLEX EPDM differ from FLEX EPDM Q?
FLEX EPDM has a flat surface, while FLEX EPDM Q uses a profiled EPDM layer. The choice mainly depends on the roof profile and the detail being sealed.
What bonds the tape to the roof covering?
A butyl adhesive layer on the underside provides durable adhesion to a properly prepared surface.
Is FLEX EPDM only for chimneys?
No. It can also be used around roof windows, dormers and at roof-to-wall junctions.
