WALL PROTECT 3
Eurovent® WALL PROTECT 3 is a three-layer, highly vapour-permeable wind barrier membrane. It consists of two layers of polypropylene nonwoven and a functional film that provides high water vapour permeability and watertightness. It effectively protects building façades against wind, rain and moisture.
Also available to order with two self-adhesive strips – SYSTEM SK2.

Application and Technical Data
Eurovent® WALL PROTECT 3 wind barrier membrane is designed for use in timber-frame construction as a protective layer for framed wall structures, as well as in log houses, siding façade systems, residential buildings and industrial halls. The product does not require a ventilation gap between the membrane and thermal insulation such as mineral wool or glass wool, which means that the membrane can be installed directly on the thermal insulation.
The product must not be used as a roof membrane in insulated pitched roofs. Suitable Eurovent® roof membranes should be used for such applications.

For maximum performance, WALL PROTECT 3 should be used in combination with:
- Eurovent® sealing and adhesive tapes, which ensure tight bonding of overlaps and durable sealing of details within wall assemblies,
- Eurovent® vapour control membranes, which limit water vapour transfer from the interior and work together with the external WALL PROTECT 3 wind barrier layer,
- Eurovent® installation accessories, enabling correct installation of the membrane in areas exposed to increased wind loads,
- façade substructure elements, which help maintain continuity of the wind barrier layer and the correct arrangement of the wall assembly.
Using complete Eurovent® system solutions ensures high windtightness, effective protection of the structure against air leakage and moisture, and improves the durability of the entire wall assembly.

How does WALL PROTECT 3 differ from WALL PROTECT?
WALL PROTECT 3 has a three-layer structure with two PP nonwovens and a functional film, while WALL PROTECT is single-layer.
What is the function of the functional film?
It combines high vapour permeability with resistance to water penetration.
Can WALL PROTECT 3 be installed directly on insulation?
Yes. No ventilation gap is required between the membrane and mineral or glass wool.
Is it suitable behind siding?
Yes, when used within a properly designed wall assembly.
Can WALL PROTECT 3 be used as a roof membrane?
Not as an underlay on an insulated pitched roof.
