Reinforced Eurovent® SPECIAL N vapour control foil is made of a polymer mesh coated on both sides with a protective layer, providing high tear resistance. It is used as a vapour control layer in roof, wall and ceiling structures. It protects thermal insulation against excessive penetration of water vapour and moisture from inside the building.

Application and Technical Data
Reinforced Eurovent® SPECIAL N vapour control foil is used as a vapour control layer protecting thermal insulation against excessive penetration of water vapour and moisture in ceiling, pitched and flat roof, and wall structures. It can be installed parallel or perpendicular to the rafters, directly on the thermal insulation.
During installation, Eurovent® DUO or Eurovent® UNO tapes are recommended for airtight sealing of foil overlaps and connections with structural elements, depending on the type of detail.

For proper and airtight performance of Eurovent® SPECIAL N vapour control foil, it is recommended to use it together with:
- Eurovent® sealing and adhesive tapes, enabling durable and airtight sealing of foil overlaps and connections with structural elements,
- highly vapour-permeable Eurovent® roof membranes, supporting moisture evacuation from the roof structure to the outside,
- Eurovent® windproof membranes, providing an external protective layer in wall structures and supporting moisture evacuation from the wall build-up.
Using compatible Eurovent® system solutions helps create an airtight and durable layer system and supports proper protection of thermal insulation against excessive moisture migration from inside the building.

What distinguishes SPECIAL N?
It is a conventional vapour control foil with a higher material weight than lighter versions in this group, which primarily affects its mechanical properties.
Does a higher weight mean greater vapour resistance?
Not necessarily. Material weight and Sd describe different characteristics and should not be used interchangeably.
Where can SPECIAL N be used?
In roofs, ceilings and walls as part of a vapour control layer selected to suit the construction.
Can it be laid directly next to thermal insulation?
The installation arrangement should follow the current instructions and the design of the particular assembly.
