CLASSIC
Eurovent® CLASSIC is a three-layer, highly vapour-permeable roof membrane for insulated and ventilated pitched roofs, including roofs with full sarking. It is suitable beneath clay and concrete roof tiles and metal roof tiles. It can also be used as a wind barrier behind closed facade cladding in frame construction. Available with two integrated self-adhesive strips – SYSTEM SK2.

Application and Technical Data
The Eurovent® CLASSIC roof membrane is used as an underlay for pitched, insulated and ventilated roofs, including roofs with full boarding. It performs particularly well in roof and attic renovation using the “inverted installation” method. The product does not require a ventilation gap between the membrane and the thermal insulation (mineral wool, glass wool, etc.), which means the membrane can be in direct contact with the insulation. Installation of the final roof covering on the membrane must always be carried out using battens and counter-battens. It is suitable for use under almost all types of roof coverings, in particular ceramic tiles, concrete tiles and metal roofing tiles.

In order to achieve maximum durability and full functionality, Eurovent® CLASSIC should be used in combination with:
- Eurovent® sealing and adhesive tapes
- Compatible ventilation accessories (ridge tapes, ventilation chimneys)
- Eurovent® system vapour control membranes and wind barrier membranes
The use of complete Eurovent® system solutions increases the durability and energy efficiency of the entire roof.

What roofs is Eurovent® CLASSIC designed for?
Eurovent® CLASSIC is a highly vapour-permeable membrane for pitched, insulated and ventilated roofs. It can be installed both without full sarking and on continuous timber decking.
Can it be laid directly on thermal insulation?
Yes. The membrane may be installed directly on the insulation, so no additional ventilation gap is required beneath it.
Is it suitable for full sarking?
Yes. Eurovent® CLASSIC can be used on continuous timber decking as a roofing underlay, which makes it suitable for a wider range of new-build and renovation projects.
What coverings can it be used under?
It is suitable beneath clay and concrete tiles, metal roof tiles and other compatible coverings. The final choice should always follow the roof design and covering manufacturer’s requirements.
What does SYSTEM SK2 do?
Two integrated adhesive strips allow adjoining sheets to be bonded quickly and tightly. This reduces wind and water penetration through the overlaps.
