BASIC
Eurovent® BASIC is a three-layer, highly vapour-permeable roof membrane for insulated, ventilated pitched roofs without full sarking. It is suitable beneath clay and concrete roof tiles, metal roof tiles and trapezoidal metal sheets. Available with two integrated self-adhesive strips – SYSTEM SK2. It can also be used as a wind barrier for external walls.

Application and Technical Data
The Eurovent® BASIC roof membrane is designed for use as an underlay in pitched, insulated and ventilated roofs with open rafter construction. It is also suitable for roof and attic refurbishment projects using the “inverted installation system”. The membrane allows direct contact with thermal insulation materials such as mineral or glass wool, as no ventilation gap between the membrane and the insulation layer is required. The final roof covering must always be installed on battens and counter-battens fixed over the membrane.

Where can Eurovent® BASIC roof membrane be used?
Eurovent® BASIC is a highly vapour-permeable roof membrane for pitched, insulated and ventilated roofs without full sarking. It is used as a roofing underlay beneath common coverings such as clay and concrete tiles and metal roof tiles.
Can Eurovent® BASIC be laid directly on thermal insulation?
Yes. Its high vapour permeability allows the membrane to be installed directly on mineral or glass wool without an additional ventilation gap beneath the membrane.
Is Eurovent® BASIC suitable for full sarking?
No. Eurovent® BASIC is intended exclusively for roofs without continuous timber decking, so a membrane specifically approved for full sarking should be selected for that type of roof.
How should the roof covering be installed above Eurovent® BASIC?
The final covering should be installed on battens and counter-battens. This creates a ventilation space beneath the covering and helps remove moisture from the roof build-up.
What is the advantage of Eurovent® BASIC SYSTEM SK2?
SYSTEM SK2 features two integrated self-adhesive strips for fast and tight overlap bonding. This simplifies installation and reduces the risk of wind and water penetrating through the overlaps.
