SYNTEX
Eurovent® SYNTEX Four-layer synthetic roof underlay designed for application with bitumen and wooden shingles as well as slate. The membrane is characterized by increased water-tightness parameter and extreme resistance to tearing. Product contains special stabilization additives which assure an excellent UV resistance; the final roof covering must be installed within the permitted exposure period of 4 weeks.

Application and Technical Data
The Eurovent® SYNTEX roof membrane is used as an underlay for most roof coverings on ventilated pitched roofs (with particular suitability for bituminous shingles, wooden shingles, slate, etc.), as well as for boarded and non-boarded roofs, both thermally insulated and non-habitable. A ventilation gap between the membrane and the thermal insulation (mineral wool, glass fibre) must be maintained in accordance with the design requirements. The product must not be installed directly on the thermal insulation. Installation of the final roof covering on the membrane can be carried out without the use of battens and counter-battens.
Maintain an unobstructed ventilation gap of at least 5 cm between the membrane and the thermal insulation; the membrane must not be in direct contact with the insulation. Water vapour transmission according to the technical data sheet: approx. 0.5 g/m²/24 h. Sd > 40 m.

In order to achieve maximum durability and full functionality, Eurovent® SYNTEX should be used in combination with:
- Eurovent® sealing and adhesive tapes
- Compatible ventilation accessories (ridge tapes, ventilation chimneys)
- Eurovent® system vapour control membranes and wind barrier membranes
The use of complete Eurovent® system solutions increases the durability and energy efficiency of the entire roof.

What coverings is Eurovent® SYNTEX intended for?
It is mainly intended for bitumen shingles, wooden shingles and slate. It can be used in correctly designed roofs with or without full sarking.
Can SYNTEX be laid directly on thermal insulation?
No. A ventilation gap must be maintained between the membrane and the thermal insulation.
Are battens and counter-battens always required?
No. Where the final covering system permits direct installation on the prepared substrate, they may not be necessary.
What distinguishes SYNTEX?
High watertightness, high tear resistance and enhanced UV resistance. These properties are particularly useful in roof systems with continuous substrates.
Is SYNTEX suitable for full sarking?
Yes. It can be installed on continuous timber decking and is particularly suitable beneath shingles and slate.
