METALLIC
Eurovent® METALLIC is a vapour-permeable housewrap with a separation mesh, designed for use beneath metal facade cladding, including standing-seam sheet metal. The three-layer membrane protects thermal insulation against wind washing and moisture from outside while allowing water vapour to escape from the wall.
The three-dimensional polypropylene mesh separates the membrane from the metal cladding, forming a drainage and separation layer. It facilitates condensate drainage and supports air circulation beneath the sheet metal.
The product is also available with a self-adhesive strip, SYSTEM SK, for easier bonding of overlaps.

Application and Technical Data
Eurovent® METALLIC acts as a housewrap and a drainage and separation layer in external walls with metal facade cladding. In this product category it is intended for ventilated facades with closed cladding, particularly standing-seam sheet metal.
Install the membrane beneath the metal cladding with the mesh facing the sheet metal. The mesh creates a gap between the membrane and the metal, facilitating condensate drainage and air circulation. The membrane’s high vapour permeability allows water vapour to escape from the wall build-up.
Seal overlaps, connections to adjoining components and service penetrations using suitable tapes and accessories. Follow the facade design and the membrane and cladding manufacturers’ recommendations for the layer arrangement, fixings, ventilation and drainage. The mesh does not replace the ventilation cavity required by the design.

Eurovent® METALLIC provides wind protection and a drainage and separation layer beneath metal facade cladding. Use suitable Eurovent® accessories to seal membrane connections:
- Membrane bonding tapes – for sealing overlaps and repairing local damage to the membrane.
- Tapes and accessories for junctions and service penetrations – for sealing details at openings, corners and components passing through the housewrap.
- Eurovent® vapour control membranes – installed on the internal side where specified by the wall design, to limit water vapour entering the wall build-up.
Select accessories to suit the substrate, application and installation conditions. A continuous wind protection layer, correctly sealed joints and designed ventilation and drainage help protect thermal insulation and the wall structure.

Why does METALLIC have an external mesh?
The mesh creates a separation layer between the membrane and metal covering, helping drainage and air circulation.
Is METALLIC only for roofs?
No. It can also be used in suitable metal façade systems as a separation and drainage layer.
How does METALLIC differ from MATT?
METALLIC combines a vapour-permeable membrane and mesh in one product. MATT is the mesh layer only.
Why is separation important beneath metal?
It creates space for moisture and condensate drainage and limits prolonged direct contact with wet surfaces.
Is METALLIC compatible with every metal façade system?
Not automatically. Compatibility depends on the covering and system construction.
