Damp-Proof Course
MAUER PVC V
The Eurovent® MAUER PVC V damp-proof course is made of polyvinyl chloride (PVC). Its specially embossed surface provides anti-slip properties and ensures excellent bonding with masonry mortar. The high flexibility of the membrane ensures excellent adhesion to the substrate and resistance to uneven substrate deformation, while its stable mechanical properties throughout its service life help maintain the integrity of the damp-proof barrier.
Advantages
- resistant to rot
- resistant to moisture
- bonds securely with mortar
Application and Technical Data
Eurovent® MAUER PVC V is designed as a horizontal damp-proof course to protect buildings with and without basements against capillary rising damp. It is used as a thick and durable horizontal waterproofing layer on strip foundations beneath load-bearing walls, wall plates and partition walls, providing an alternative to bituminous roofing felt. After installation, the material should be protected against prolonged exposure to UV radiation.

System Products
For maximum effectiveness of the damp-proof course and long-term protection against capillary rising damp, Eurovent® MAUER PVC V should be used in combination with:
- Eurovent® foundation membranes (e.g. GEO 8, GEO 20), which protect walls against ground moisture and work together with the horizontal damp-proof course,
- Eurovent® filtration geotextiles, which protect waterproofing layers against mechanical damage and clogging,
- Eurovent® sealing and adhesive tapes, which provide tight and durable connections between horizontal and vertical waterproofing,
- Eurovent® installation accessories (e.g. fixing profiles, nails), which enable quick, secure and stable installation in the foundation area.
Using complete Eurovent® system solutions provides an effective moisture barrier, protects the structure against degradation and ensures long-term protection of the building foundations.
