FORTIS
The Eurovent® FORTIS roof membrane, three-layer, highly vapour-permeable. It is used for insulated and ventilated sloping roofs, also with full sarking. It has the highest tear resistance in its class, therefore it is chosen by the most demanding roofers. It is suitable for concrete, ceramic, metal tiles, aluminium sheets, slate and in frame construction. Available as an option with 2 self-adhesive tapes - SYSTEM SK2.

Application and Technical Data
The Eurovent® FORTIS roof membrane is used as an underlay for pitched, insulated and ventilated roofs, including roofs with full boarding. The product does not require a ventilation gap between the membrane and the thermal insulation (mineral wool, glass wool, etc.), which means the membrane may be in direct contact with the insulation. Installation of the final roof covering on the membrane must always be carried out using battens and counter-battens. It is suitable for use under almost all types of roof coverings, in particular ceramic tiles, concrete tiles, metal roofing tiles, aluminium sheets, natural slate, etc.

In order to achieve maximum durability and full functionality, Eurovent® FORTIS should be used in combination with:
- Eurovent® sealing and adhesive tapes
- Compatible ventilation accessories (ridge tapes, ventilation chimneys)
- Eurovent® system vapour control membranes and wind barrier membranes
The use of complete Eurovent® system solutions increases the durability and energy efficiency of the entire roof.

What roofs is Eurovent® FORTIS designed for?
It is a highly vapour-permeable membrane for pitched, insulated and ventilated roofs. It can also be installed on full sarking.
What distinguishes FORTIS?
High tear resistance and good watertightness make it suitable where increased mechanical durability during installation is important.
Can it be laid directly on mineral wool?
Yes. Direct contact with thermal insulation is permitted and no additional gap is required beneath the membrane.
What coverings can it be used under?
Clay and concrete tiles, metal roof tiles, other metal roofing systems and natural slate, subject to the roof design.
Is FORTIS suitable for timber-frame and modular construction?
Yes. It can be used in conventional, timber-frame, modular and passive-building construction.
