FASSADE
Eurovent® FASSADE is a two-layer, highly vapour-permeable wind barrier membrane made of polyurethane-coated polyester nonwoven. It is designed for use in ventilated façade systems with open joints. The membrane maintains its performance in façades with open joints up to 30 mm wide, with up to 30% of the membrane surface exposed. It has a B-s1,d0 reaction-to-fire classification. Its very high resistance to UV radiation has been confirmed by a successfully completed UV 5000 h artificial ageing test.

Application and Technical Data
Eurovent® FASSADE is designed to protect walls against wind, rain and moisture in ventilated and non-ventilated façade systems, particularly in façades with open joints up to 30 mm wide and with up to 30% of the membrane surface exposed. It is also suitable for timber-frame, modular, prefabricated and CLT construction, log houses, residential buildings and industrial halls, including passive buildings.
No ventilation gap is required between the membrane and thermal insulation made of mineral or glass wool, which means that the membrane can be installed directly on the thermal insulation layer.

For maximum performance, FASSADE should be used in combination with:
- UV-resistant Eurovent® sealing and adhesive tapes, which ensure durable and tight bonding of overlaps and details in ventilated façade systems,
- Eurovent® installation accessories, enabling correct installation and membrane stability in areas exposed to wind loads,
- façade battens and substructure elements, which ensure the correct ventilation gap and support moisture removal from the wall assembly,
- Eurovent® vapour control membranes, which limit water vapour transfer from the interior and work together with the external FASSADE wind barrier layer.
Using complete Eurovent® system solutions provides effective protection of the façade against air leakage, moisture and UV radiation and improves the durability of the entire façade assembly.

Why is FASSADE suitable for open-joint façades?
Its resistance to prolonged UV exposure has been verified by a 5000-hour artificial ageing test.
How wide can open joints be?
Current documentation permits joints up to 30 mm with no more than 30% of the membrane surface exposed.
What does B-s1,d0 mean?
It is the product’s reaction-to-fire classification, not automatically the classification of the complete wall assembly.
Can FASSADE be laid directly on thermal insulation?
Yes.
Does a 5000-hour UV test mean unlimited uncovered exposure?
No. UV durability testing and temporary construction exposure are different parameters.
