DB
Eurovent® DB vapour control foil is made of low-density polyethylene (LDPE). It limits water vapour migration from inside the building towards wall, floor, ceiling, pitched roof and flat roof structures. The material provides high mechanical strength and resistance to moisture and conditions occurring during construction works.

Application and Technical Data
Eurovent® DB is primarily used as a layer limiting water vapour migration in wall, floor, flat roof, pitched roof and ceiling structures. It can also be used as a protective or separating layer beneath selected floor finishes, in accordance with the requirements of the specific floor build-up.
Thanks to its mechanical properties, Eurovent® DB can also be used as a protective foil for building materials, windows and doors, roof surfaces or façades during installation and finishing works.

To ensure maximum performance of the DB roof membrane, it is recommended to use it together with:
- Eurovent® sealing and adhesive tapes, which improve the tightness of overlaps and all installation joints,
- Eurovent® ventilation accessories, supporting proper air circulation and reducing the risk of condensation within the roof structure,
- Eurovent® eaves system components, ensuring effective water drainage and a stable air intake under the roof covering,
- Eurovent® roof clips, which stabilize the roof covering and increase the system’s resistance to wind and snow loads.

How does DB differ from CLIMA membranes?
DB is an LDPE foil with fixed diffusion properties. It does not use an active film with variable Sd.
Where is DB used?
As a vapour control layer in walls, ceilings, floors and flat or pitched roofs where this matches the construction design.
Can DB be used under floor panels?
The product also has flooring applications, but the layer build-up must suit the particular floor system.
Does a wide roll matter?
A greater width can reduce the number of overlaps and therefore the number of areas requiring sealing.
Can LDPE foil serve as temporary protection?
The product has specified protective uses, but exposure time and conditions must follow its documentation.
