ANTICON
Eurovent® ANTICON is a multilayer anti-condensation roofing foil made of fabric coated on both sides and a polypropylene nonwoven layer. The nonwoven temporarily stores excess moisture, reducing the risk of condensate dripping. Proper ventilation allows the stored moisture to be removed and the layer to dry. The foil is intended for ventilated pitched roofs, including areas with increased humidity.

Application and Technical Data
The Eurovent® ANTICON anti-condensation film is used in the construction of ventilated pitched roofs, both insulated and uninsulated, as an insulating layer beneath the roof covering. The nonwoven layer temporarily stores moisture, reducing the risk of condensate dripping. Proper ventilation is required to remove the stored moisture and allow the layer to dry. When used in insulated roofs, the product requires a ventilation gap of at least 5 cm between the film and the thermal insulation (mineral wool, glass wool, etc.), which means the film must not be in direct contact with the insulation. The product should not be used on roofs with full boarding. Installation of the final roof covering on the roofing film must always be carried out using battens and counter-battens.

How does Eurovent® ANTICON work?
It has a special anti-condensation non-woven layer that temporarily stores moisture created by condensation. With proper roof ventilation, this moisture can later evaporate safely.
Where can ANTICON be used?
On ventilated pitched roofs, both insulated and uninsulated. It is especially useful where condensation beneath the covering is a concern.
Can ANTICON be in direct contact with thermal insulation?
No. On insulated roofs, at least a 5 cm ventilation gap must be maintained between the foil and the insulation.
Is ANTICON suitable for full sarking?
No. It is not designed for direct installation on continuous timber decking.
Does the anti-condensation layer replace roof ventilation?
No. The layer can temporarily store moisture, but proper airflow is still required for that moisture to dry out.
