ALUFLOOR
Eurovent® ALUFLOOR is a single-side metallised thermal insulation foil designed primarily for use under underfloor heating systems. It can also be used beneath floor panels and in the vicinity of heating elements. It limits water vapour migration, while the metallised layer reflects thermal radiation. A specially printed grid across the entire surface facilitates the layout and installation of underfloor heating systems.

Application and Technical Data
Eurovent® ALUFLOOR is primarily used as an insulating layer in underfloor heating systems. Installed on polystyrene insulation boards, it helps protect them against construction moisture from the screed. The metallised surface has reflective properties and, in a suitable layer arrangement, can support the direction of thermal radiation towards the room.
Eurovent® ALUFLOOR can also be used as a reflective layer near heating elements, such as radiators, and as a vapour control layer beneath selected types of floor panels, in accordance with the requirements of the specific flooring system.

For correct and airtight installation of Eurovent® ALUFLOOR, it is recommended to use:
- Eurovent® sealing and adhesive tapes for airtight sealing of foil overlaps,
- Eurovent® tapes for sealing connections at walls, service penetrations and other installation details.
Proper sealing of joints helps maintain the continuity of the insulating and vapour control layer and limits moisture migration into subsequent floor layers.

Why does ALUFLOOR have a printed grid?
The grid makes it easier to plan and position underfloor heating components during installation.
What does the metallised surface do?
It can reflect thermal radiation within the floor build-up. However, the effect depends on the complete construction and does not replace the thermal insulation layer.
Does ALUFLOOR protect polystyrene insulation from screed moisture?
It can form a separating layer that limits contact between the insulation and construction moisture during floor installation.
Can it also be used under floor panels?
Yes. The product also has this application, provided it meets the requirements of the particular floor system.
Does ALUFLOOR replace the proper thermal insulation beneath underfloor heating?
No. It complements the floor build-up and is not a substitute for polystyrene or other specified thermal insulation.
