AKTIV X 100
Eurovent® AKTIV X 100 is a four-layer synthetic vapour barrier membrane with an Sd value of ca. 100 m. It has been designed for renovation projects, particularly for inverted roof systems. It provides an effective barrier limiting water vapour migration from inside the building towards the roof structure, protecting thermal insulation against excessive moisture ingress and reducing the risk of condensation. Its four-layer construction provides very high tear resistance and increased UV resistance, facilitating safe installation and helping maintain the airtightness of the vapour barrier layer even under demanding conditions.
The membrane is available on request with two self-adhesive strips – SYSTEM SK2.

Application and Technical Data
Eurovent® AKTIV X 100 is used in residential and industrial construction as a vapour barrier layer, primarily for renovation of usable attics, particularly in inverted roof systems. It limits water vapour migration and excessive moisture ingress from inside the building into the thermal insulation, supporting the protection of both the insulation and structural timber against moisture.
During installation of Eurovent® AKTIV X 100, suitable Eurovent® adhesive tapes, such as Eurovent® FAST, are recommended for airtight connections. In the SYSTEM SK2 version, integrated self-adhesive strips facilitate airtight sealing of membrane overlaps.

What work was AKTIV X 100 designed for?
One of its characteristic applications is demanding roof-renovation work, including solutions installed from the outside using the appropriate renovation method.
Why does the membrane have four layers?
The multilayer synthetic structure provides very high mechanical resistance, which is particularly important during renovation work.
Does the name AKTIV mean low or variable Sd in this case?
No. AKTIV X 100 is a membrane with high vapour resistance, around 100 m. Selection must follow the product’s technical data rather than its trade name alone.
Does increased UV resistance allow it to serve as a roof covering?
No. UV resistance facilitates construction work, but the membrane remains part of the roof build-up and is not the final roof covering.
Can AKTIV X 100 be used in any renovation?
No. The arrangement of vapour control during renovation depends particularly on the existing roof build-up and should be confirmed by a design solution.
